Ice Cream-1
There’s something about summer that sparks strong cravings for ice cream. Nothing like sitting back on a hot summer’s day enjoying a couple scoops of your favorite flavor whether it comes from the local ice cream store or your freezer.

If you’re someone passionate about the quest for great ice cream and travel, then here’s a list of the top 10 places around the world to find it. The list was created by the fine folks at Tauck, a luxury travel company.

    White Mountain Ice Creamery
    Bloomington, Indiana USA

This cozy and traditional Mom and Pop shop make their own homemade ice
cream on site in the front window. I worked there for about five years and
now can only eat the “good stuff.” They also have homemade novelty items such
as turtle bars, bon bons and mud pie. They make their own hot fudge that is the
most delicious I’ve ever tasted as well as malts, sodas, milkshakes, banana splits,
etc. They do mix-ins on a marble counter top and make their own waffle cones.
A nice touch that I’ve never seen anywhere else is that they put on M&M in the
bottom of the cone to block ice cream leakage. My favorite: cinnamon. My other
fond memories: strawberry, sweet cream, egg nog, pumpkin, banana, baklava,
coffee, vanilla yogurt and Mexican vanilla. A must if you’re ever in Indiana.
